At our core, we began with a singular passion: to empower individuals through English.
Our Mission:
Hello, I'm Mohamad Hijazi. When I embarked on this journey, I was a high school student driven by a profound love for the English language and literature, a perpetual inquiry of philosophical and literary discussion. Even in my leisure time, I found solace in immersing myself in the intricacies of English, be it through classes or reading.
As I moved on through out high school, I expanded my horizons by delving into social justices, exploring the cultural and ethical dimensions of language. Much like any other discipline, I discovered that language is not neutral, universal, or always objective. It, too, is complex, intricately woven into the fabric of our human and cultural existence.
My journey into teaching English began by assisting my non-English speaking cousins with their class assignments. As we delved into their aspirations and the doors they hoped to open with English proficiency, it became evident that teaching English is fundamental for global communication. Proficiency in English serves as a gateway to international connections, diverse career opportunities, access to information, cultural exchange, and educational advancement, playing a pivotal role in navigating our interconnected world. Beyond linguistic skills, it unlocks doors to diverse cultures and knowledge, fostering personal and professional growth in our globalized society.
Discovering my passion for the English language and literature unveiled not only a love for words but also ignited a deep interest in journalism, history, and current events. Observing numerous injustices globally, whether through personal experiences or social media, highlighted the barrier that language creates for underrepresented journalism. The linguistic divide perpetuates a sense of division when parties fail to comprehend each other. It's time to break down these barriers and enable the world to understand the diverse experiences of humanity.
